Local History Section, Annual Lecture given by Dr. Mandy Richardson on 'Hunting, Hounds & Hospitality in 16th Century English Deer Parks; a social and gendered perspective'

Archaeology Section, Professor Tony King, University of Winchester, will give the David Johnston Memorial Lecture: “The Temple Site at Exton in the Meon Valley.”

18th April WEDNESDAY HFC&AS OGS Crawford Lecture, Professor Neil Loader, Swansea University, will give the 2018 OGS Crawford Lecture on: "Dating the Undateable" - New approaches to precision dating in science-based archaeology.

12th May SATURDAY Historic Buildings Section, Andy Russel will lead a walk around Southampton Old Town.

HFC&AS Annual General Meeting, 7.30, Peter Symonds College
The AGM will be followed by the 'President's Lecture', which will be given by Dr Katie Hinds on the Portable Antiquities Scheme

22nd September SATURDAY Historic Buildings Section, Visit to Eling Tide Mill & Church
29th September SATURDAY Local History Section, AGM & Autumn Outing to Christchurh
9th October TUESDAY Archaeology Section, Paul McCulloch of Pre-Construct Archaeology will give a talk on the excavations at Barton Farm, Winchester.
